We are seeking an experienced Lead Designer BIM/VDC (m/f/d) to drive the digital delivery of complex construction and engineering projects. In this role, you will lead the development, coordination and implementation of Building Information Modelling and Virtual Design and Construction processes from early design through construction and handover. You will work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, project managers and specialist consultants to ensure that coordinated digital models support efficient decision-making, accurate documentation and successful project delivery.

Your responsibilities will include establishing BIM/VDC strategies, standards, execution plans and workflows in line with project requirements. You will manage and review federated models, identify and resolve design clashes, coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces and oversee model quality, data integrity and information exchange. You will support design workshops, facilitate coordination meetings and provide technical guidance to project teams. In addition, you will contribute to the development of templates, libraries and best practices, help implement relevant software and digital tools, and promote continuous improvement across projects. Where required, you will mentor designers and BIM/VDC specialists and act as a key point of contact for digital delivery matters.

You bring several years of professional experience in BIM coordination, digital construction, design management or a comparable field, ideally within complex building, infrastructure or industrial projects. A degree or vocational qualification in architecture, engineering, construction, digital design or a related discipline is desirable. You have strong knowledge of BIM methodologies, information management principles and common industry standards, together with practical experience using tools such as Revit, Navisworks, Civil 3D, AutoCAD or comparable platforms. Experience with common data environments, clash detection and model-based project delivery is expected. You are structured, communicative and confident when working with diverse stakeholders. A proactive approach, strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to support innovation are essential. Fluency in English is required; additional language skills are an advantage.
