We are seeking a Water/Wastewater Designer/EIT to support the planning, design, and delivery of municipal and industrial water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Working under the guidance of experienced engineers and project managers, you will contribute to projects involving water distribution systems, sanitary and storm sewer networks, pumping stations, treatment facilities, storage systems, and related civil infrastructure. This role offers the opportunity to develop technical expertise while working on projects from initial concept through detailed design, permitting, construction, and commissioning.

Your responsibilities will include preparing design drawings, layouts, profiles, details, specifications, calculations, cost estimates, and technical reports. You will assist with hydraulic modelling, feasibility studies, condition assessments, site investigations, and the evaluation of infrastructure alternatives. The role will also involve reviewing survey information, geotechnical data, and existing records; coordinating with multidisciplinary project teams; responding to technical questions during construction; and participating in site visits, inspections, and progress meetings. You will help maintain project documentation, schedules, and quality standards while ensuring designs comply with applicable codes, regulations, and industry best practices.

Applicants should hold a degree or diploma in civil, environmental, or water resources engineering, or a related discipline, with eligibility for registration as an Engineer-in-Training or equivalent professional designation. Experience with water and wastewater design, municipal infrastructure, hydraulic modelling, or construction support is an asset. Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office is preferred; familiarity with modelling software such as WaterCAD, SewerCAD, InfoWater, or equivalent tools would be beneficial. Strong analytical, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to manage priorities and work effectively both independently and as part of a team. A valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel periodically to project sites may be required.
