We are seeking a Project Engineer to support the planning, development and delivery of infrastructure projects within the transport sector. In this role, you will contribute to projects that improve the safety, capacity, accessibility and sustainability of roads, railways and other essential transport infrastructure. You will work closely with project managers, technical specialists, consultants, contractors, authorities and other stakeholders to ensure that projects progress effectively from early planning through design, construction and completion.

Your responsibilities will include coordinating technical investigations, reviewing drawings and specifications, preparing documentation, monitoring schedules, costs, quality and risks, and following up on project deliverables. You will help ensure that work is carried out in accordance with applicable legislation, contractual requirements, technical standards and environmental objectives. The role may also involve supporting procurement activities, preparing decision-making material, participating in site visits and meetings, managing interfaces between different disciplines, and identifying opportunities to improve working methods and project outcomes. Clear communication and structured administration will be important, as you will help maintain effective collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.

We are looking for someone with a university degree or equivalent experience in civil engineering, construction, infrastructure, transport planning or a related field. Experience from infrastructure, construction or engineering projects is advantageous, as is familiarity with project management, contract administration, risk management or public-sector requirements. You should be organised, analytical and able to take initiative while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills in English are required, and knowledge of Swedish is beneficial due to the regulatory and stakeholder environment.
