We are seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager (Pipelines) to lead the safe, efficient and successful delivery of pipeline construction and infrastructure projects. The role will oversee projects from planning and mobilisation through to completion, ensuring work is delivered in accordance with approved designs, programmes, budgets, quality standards and regulatory requirements. You will coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers and other stakeholders while maintaining clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include developing and managing project execution plans, construction programmes, budgets, risk registers and procurement schedules. You will monitor progress, costs, productivity and resources, identify potential delays or variations, and implement effective corrective actions. The role will involve reviewing engineering documentation, method statements, inspection and test plans, environmental controls and health and safety requirements. You will also lead progress meetings, prepare regular reports, manage change control and support contract administration, commercial negotiations and project closeout activities. A strong focus on quality assurance, environmental compliance and safe working practices will be essential, particularly across excavation, trenching, earthworks, reinstatement, crossings and pipeline installation activities.
Applicants should have substantial experience managing civil construction projects, ideally involving water, wastewater, utilities, gas or other pipeline infrastructure. A relevant qualification in civil engineering, construction management or a related discipline is preferred, together with proven knowledge of construction methods, planning tools, cost control and applicable legislation. You will need strong leadership, negotiation and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience working with subcontractors and multidisciplinary project teams is essential. A proactive, organised and commercially aware approach, combined with a commitment to safety, quality and customer satisfaction, will be highly valued.
