Assistant Project Manager I

We are seeking an organised and motivated Assistant Project Manager I to support the successful planning and delivery of projects from initiation through to completion. Working under the guidance of a Project Manager, you will help coordinate schedules, resources, documentation, and project communications while ensuring activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with agreed objectives. Key responsibilities will include maintaining project plans, trackers, budgets, risk registers, and action logs; arranging meetings and preparing agendas, minutes, and progress updates; monitoring milestones, deliverables, costs, and changes; and escalating issues or potential delays promptly. You will assist with procurement, reporting, document control, invoice tracking, and the coordination of project resources. You may also support site visits, stakeholder communications, quality reviews, compliance activities, and the preparation of presentations and close-out documentation. A proactive approach to identifying improvements and keeping information accurate and up to date will be essential.

Applicants should have experience supporting projects, programmes, operations, or a similar administrative function, together with strong organisational and communication skills. You will be comfortable managing competing priorities, meeting deadlines, and working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with standard office and project management software, including spreadsheets, scheduling tools, and document management systems, is required. An understanding of project management principles, budgeting, risk management, and reporting would be advantageous. We are looking for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, willing to learn, and confident communicating with people at different levels. Relevant qualifications in project management, business, engineering, construction, or a related discipline are desirable, although equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
