Project Manager in Hydraulic Structures

We're supporting a leading international engineering firm in their search for a Project Manager in Hydraulic Structures to join their hydropower and dam projects team. With a global presence and employee-owned structure, this company delivers major infrastructure solutions across energy, water, industry, and mobility sectors.

The Role

As a Project Manager in Hydraulic Structures, you'll play a key role in delivering international hydropower projects. Responsibilities include:

• Leading technical input for bids and proposals
• Coordinating project teams (engineers, technicians, subcontractors)
• Guiding and mentoring junior engineers
• Overseeing project delivery - technically, contractually, and financially
• Designing and sizing key hydraulic structures (spillways, intakes, outlets, etc.)
• Performing hydraulic calculations (steady/transient flow, water hammer, head losses)
• Running 1D/2D hydraulic models
• Making occasional site visits for inspections and technical assessments
• Supporting the development of internal tools, methods, and technical standards

Your Profile

• Engineering degree with a focus on hydraulics
• At least 5 years' experience in hydraulic structure design
• Strong technical skills, autonomy, and team spirit
• Solid English communication skills (projects are international)
• Familiarity with hydraulic modeling tools (e.g., Cebelmail, Simsen, HEC-RAS, Mascaret, Telemac) is a plus
