Experience
 Minimum 5 years of experience as a HSE position in operative project execution and construction site management for complex technical projects in either civil construction, manufacturing and plant engineering industry, the wind energy sector and/or similar industries/energy sectors.
 Bachelor in Engineering related careers or Master specialized in HSE is suggested/preferable, but work experience shall be regarded as more relevant
 Basic knowledge and appreciation of construction sites phases in wind industry or similar

GWO Training Standard has to be obtained including:
o Valid first aid certification
o Fire awareness training
o Manual handling training
o Rescue at heights training

We are looking for a freelance HSE Manager to support the construction phase of a large-scale onshore wind project in Finland. The role will be site based and focused on maintaining high health, safety and environmental standards across all construction activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage all HSE activities on site during construction and commissioning phasesEnsure compliance with Finnish legislation, EU directives, client HSE standards and project proceduresDevelop, implement and maintain the site HSE plan, risk assessments and method statementsCarry out regular site inspections, safety walks and audits of contractors and subcontractorsDeliver toolbox talks, safety briefings and inductionsMonitor incidents, near misses and unsafe acts, including investigation and reportingSupport the project team with proactive HSE guidance and improvement initiativesAct as the main HSE point of contact for site management and external stakeholders

Requirements:

Proven experience as an HSE Manager on onshore wind or large-scale civil / energy construction projectsStrong working knowledge of European and local HSE regulationsRelevant HSE qualifications (NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent)Experience managing multiple contractors in an active construction environmentStrong communication skillsFull right to work in EU is required. Contract Details:
