We are seeking a Consultant – Water to support the delivery of high-quality technical advice and project solutions across the water sector. Working with multidisciplinary teams, you will contribute to projects involving water supply, wastewater, drainage, flood risk, water resources, and associated infrastructure. You will help clients address complex challenges by applying sound technical judgement, practical problem-solving skills, and an understanding of relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Your responsibilities will include undertaking technical assessments, preparing calculations, models, reports, specifications, and feasibility studies, as well as supporting the development and evaluation of options. You will assist with the planning and delivery of investigations, data analysis, site visits, stakeholder engagement, and design activities. The role may also involve coordinating project tasks, monitoring budgets and programmes, contributing to bids and proposals, reviewing technical work, and presenting findings clearly to clients and project teams. You will be expected to maintain accurate records, identify risks and opportunities, and promote high standards of quality, health and safety, and environmental performance.

Applicants should have a relevant degree or equivalent qualification in civil or environmental engineering, water management, hydrology, environmental science, or a related discipline. Previous experience in water, wastewater, flood risk, drainage, or infrastructure consultancy is desirable, together with familiarity with relevant guidance, legislation, and industry practices. Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Proficiency with relevant technical software, modelling tools, GIS, or data analysis packages would be advantageous. The successful candidate will demonstrate initiative, a commitment to professional development, and a collaborative approach to delivering practical, sustainable solutions for clients and communities.
