We are seeking an experienced Transportation Engineer/Project Manager to lead the planning, design and delivery of a diverse range of transportation infrastructure projects. The role will involve managing projects from initial concept and feasibility through to detailed design, approvals, construction and close-out. You will work closely with clients, contractors, consultants, authorities and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule and within budget.

Key responsibilities will include preparing and reviewing traffic and transportation studies, corridor and intersection assessments, road safety reviews, transport modelling inputs, technical reports, drawings, specifications and cost estimates. You will coordinate multidisciplinary design teams, manage project programmes, budgets, risks and resources, and oversee procurement and contract administration activities. The successful candidate will also support business development by contributing to proposals, fee estimates and client presentations, while maintaining strong professional relationships and identifying opportunities to improve project outcomes.

Applicants should hold a degree or equivalent qualification in civil engineering, transportation engineering or a related discipline, together with relevant professional experience in transportation planning, traffic engineering, highway design or infrastructure delivery. Professional registration or progress toward registration is desirable. Strong project management skills, commercial awareness and the ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders are essential. Experience with relevant design, modelling or project management software, as well as knowledge of applicable standards, legislation and approval processes, will be highly valued. You should be organised, proactive and comfortable managing competing priorities while providing sound technical guidance and mentoring less experienced colleagues.
