We are seeking a Water Resources EIT/Designer to support the planning, design, and delivery of water resources and civil infrastructure projects. This role is suited to an early-career engineer or designer who is eager to develop technical expertise while contributing to projects involving stormwater management, drainage systems, flood studies, water quality, erosion and sediment control, and related infrastructure. You will work as part of a collaborative project team, receiving guidance from experienced engineers while progressively taking responsibility for assigned tasks.

Key responsibilities include preparing engineering calculations, technical reports, design drawings, plans, specifications, and construction documentation. You will assist with hydrologic and hydraulic modelling, catchment assessments, stormwater conveyance and detention design, flood mapping, and the evaluation of water management solutions. The position will also involve reviewing survey and geospatial information, interpreting relevant standards and regulations, coordinating with internal disciplines and external stakeholders, supporting field investigations, and responding to technical queries during construction. You may also contribute to project schedules, fee estimates, tender documentation, site inspections, and construction administration activities.

Applicants should hold, or be working toward, a degree in civil, environmental, water resources, or a closely related engineering discipline. Relevant experience with water resources, stormwater, drainage, flood modelling, or civil infrastructure design is desirable, along with familiarity with applicable design standards and permitting requirements. Proficiency with engineering and design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS platforms, and hydrologic or hydraulic modelling tools will be valued. Strong analytical, written, verbal, and organisational skills are essential, as is the ability to manage priorities, work accurately, and collaborate effectively. Eligibility for professional engineering registration, or a clear commitment to progressing toward registration, is advantageous. A valid driver’s licence and willingness to undertake occasional site visits may also be required.
