Water Resources EIT/Coordinator
We are seeking a Water Resources EIT/Coordinator to support the planning, design, coordination, and delivery of water resources projects. This role is suited to an early-career engineer who is developing technical expertise and is interested in contributing to projects involving stormwater management, drainage, flood risk, hydrology, hydraulics, water quality, and related civil infrastructure. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, technical specialists, clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to help deliver practical, compliant, and cost-effective solutions.
Key responsibilities include assisting with hydrologic and hydraulic modelling; preparing calculations, technical reports, design drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and permitting documentation; coordinating project information and deliverables; reviewing plans and technical submissions; supporting field investigations, site inspections, construction administration, and data collection; and tracking schedules, budgets, risks, and action items. You may also contribute to drainage assessments, stormwater management plans, flood studies, erosion and sediment control measures, watercourse assessments, and the preparation of design alternatives. The successful candidate will communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders, maintain accurate project records, and help ensure that work meets applicable legislation, standards, and quality requirements.
A degree or diploma in civil engineering, environmental engineering, water resources engineering, or a related discipline is required, along with eligibility for or progress toward professional engineering registration. Experience with engineering design, hydrologic or hydraulic software, CAD or GIS applications, and relevant technical standards will be considered an asset. Strong analytical, organizational, writing, and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. A commitment to safety, technical accuracy, continuous learning, and professional development is expected. Occasional travel to project sites and a valid driver’s licence may be required.
