Structural Engineer- Highway/Road Infrastructure (Tarlac)
We are seeking a Structural Engineer to support the planning, design, assessment and delivery of highway and road infrastructure projects in Tarlac. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of safe, durable and cost-effective structures, including bridges, culverts, retaining walls, drainage structures, pavement-related elements and other transport infrastructure. This role will work closely with multidisciplinary design, construction and project teams to ensure that engineering solutions meet approved standards, project specifications, safety requirements and delivery schedules.
Key responsibilities include preparing and reviewing structural calculations, design drawings, technical reports, specifications and quantity estimates; conducting structural assessments, inspections and site investigations; developing practical design solutions in accordance with applicable national and international codes; and coordinating with civil, geotechnical, transportation, environmental and construction specialists. You will also assist with tender documentation, technical evaluations, construction support, responses to requests for information, design changes and resolution of site issues. Maintaining accurate project records, monitoring quality and progress, and identifying potential technical, commercial and construction risks will also form part of the role.
Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering and possess relevant experience in the design, supervision or delivery of highway, bridge or road infrastructure projects. Professional registration or eligibility for registration is preferred. Strong knowledge of structural analysis and design principles, reinforced concrete and steel structures, construction methods and applicable engineering standards is required. Experience with structural design and drafting software, such as STAAD.Pro, MIDAS, ETABS, AutoCAD or Civil 3D, will be advantageous. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities while communicating effectively with clients, contractors and project stakeholders. A willingness to conduct site visits and work in Tarlac and surrounding project locations is essential.
