An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Interface Management Lead to support a major rail bid and the subsequent delivery of a complex, multidisciplinary programme. This role will be responsible for establishing and managing the interface strategy across design, engineering, construction, systems, operations, supply chain and client stakeholders. You will ensure that technical, contractual, programme and operational interfaces are clearly identified, owned and controlled throughout the bid lifecycle.

Key responsibilities will include developing interface management plans, processes, registers and governance arrangements; coordinating interface workshops and review meetings; defining accountabilities and approval routes; and maintaining accurate records of interface agreements, dependencies, assumptions, risks and actions. You will work closely with bid, engineering, commercial, project controls and delivery teams to identify potential conflicts, assess impacts and support timely resolution. The role will also involve reviewing tender requirements, contributing to technical and delivery proposals, challenging design and programme information, and ensuring interface considerations are reflected in estimates, methodologies, risk registers and implementation plans.

Applicants should have substantial experience in interface management within the rail, transport, infrastructure or other highly regulated engineering environments, with a strong understanding of systems integration and multidisciplinary project delivery. Experience supporting major bids, tenders or mobilisation activities is highly desirable. You will be an effective communicator, confident engaging with senior stakeholders and technical specialists, and capable of influencing teams across organisational and contractual boundaries. Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills are essential, together with the ability to manage competing priorities and work to demanding deadlines. Familiarity with recognised interface management, systems engineering, configuration control and assurance practices would be advantageous. This is an excellent opportunity for a collaborative professional to play a central role in shaping a robust, deliverable rail solution from the earliest stage.
