We are seeking a capable and customer-focused Field Engineer to support technical operations across the Southeast District. This role is suited to an engineer who enjoys working in the field, solving practical problems, and building strong relationships with customers, contractors, and internal teams. You will be responsible for installing, commissioning, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing equipment and systems at customer and project sites. The position involves regular travel throughout the district, with occasional overnight stays and work outside standard hours when required.

Key responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or control-system faults; carrying out planned and reactive maintenance; completing site surveys and technical assessments; supporting equipment start-up and commissioning; and providing clear guidance to customers and end users. You will prepare accurate service reports, record parts and labour, maintain job documentation, and escalate complex issues appropriately. The successful candidate will also contribute to continuous improvement by identifying recurring faults, recommending corrective actions, and sharing technical knowledge with colleagues. A strong commitment to safe working practices, quality standards, and environmental procedures is essential at all times.

Applicants should have a relevant engineering qualification, apprenticeship, or equivalent practical experience in a field-based technical role. Experience servicing industrial, commercial, construction, utilities, manufacturing, or similar equipment would be advantageous. You should be confident reading technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and service documentation, and be comfortable using diagnostic tools and digital reporting systems. Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills are required, along with the ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a wider team. A full driving licence and willingness to travel across the Southeast District are essential. Training, technical development, and the necessary tools and equipment will be provided to support your success in the role.
