Sr General Superintendent II - 100% Travel Required

We are seeking a highly experienced Sr General Superintendent II to provide senior field leadership across complex construction projects. This position requires 100% travel to project sites and is responsible for overseeing all phases of site operations, from mobilisation and planning through completion and turnover. The successful candidate will ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with approved plans, specifications, quality standards, and contractual requirements.

Key responsibilities include directing and coordinating superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel; establishing daily and weekly work plans; monitoring productivity and schedule performance; reviewing drawings, specifications, and project documentation; and resolving field issues in collaboration with project management, engineering, and clients. You will lead site meetings, coordinate inspections, maintain accurate progress records, and support the management of change orders, materials, equipment, manpower, and logistics. The role also requires proactive identification of risks, effective communication of project priorities, and consistent enforcement of safety, environmental, and quality procedures.

Candidates should have extensive experience managing large-scale, technically complex construction projects, with a strong record of progressing from field supervision into senior site leadership. Significant experience coordinating multiple trades and subcontractors is required, along with the ability to interpret construction documents, understand scheduling principles, and use standard project management and reporting tools. Strong leadership, organisation, decision-making, conflict-resolution, and communication skills are essential. A relevant trade qualification, construction management education, or equivalent practical experience is preferred. The successful candidate must be willing and able to travel continuously, work extended hours when project demands require, and operate effectively in changing site environments. A valid driving licence and the ability to meet project-specific access, safety, and background requirements may also be required.
