We are seeking an experienced Senior General Superintendent to provide overall field leadership for complex construction projects from mobilisation through completion. This role will oversee day-to-day site operations, coordinate multiple trades and subcontractors, and ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and quality standards. The successful candidate will serve as a senior operational presence on site, building strong relationships with clients, consultants, trade partners, and project teams.

Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining site logistics, sequencing, and short-term execution plans; directing general superintendents, superintendents, forepersons, and subcontractor teams; monitoring productivity, progress, manpower, materials, and equipment; and identifying and resolving construction issues before they affect cost or schedule. You will lead regular coordination and progress meetings, review drawings and submittals, support schedule updates and recovery plans, and work closely with project management on forecasting, change management, procurement, and project closeout. Maintaining accurate field documentation and ensuring effective communication across all stakeholders will be essential.

Candidates should have extensive experience managing large-scale, technically complex construction projects, with a demonstrated record of successfully leading field operations in a senior supervisory capacity. A strong understanding of construction methods, safety regulations, quality control processes, scheduling, contract requirements, and applicable building codes is required. Excellent leadership, organisation, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. A degree, diploma, or equivalent combination of construction education and practical experience is preferred. Relevant industry certifications and proficiency with project scheduling, document control, and construction management software will be advantageous. Regular travel, extended site presence, and flexible working hours may be required depending on project needs.
