The Riyadh metro is a rapid transit system under construction in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It will be the backbone of the city’s public transport system and integrated with an 85-kilometre (53 mi) three-line bus rapid transit (BRT) network.

The Cityringen Metro project constitutes a new circular line in the city centre and consists of two 17.4km tunnels and 17 new stations (two of which are transfer stations) all at 30 metres below ground level.

Ho Chi Minh Line 1 is a new urban railway construction of a total length of 19.7 km (including both underground and elevated tracks) connecting the centre of Ho Chi Minh City with North-East gateway of the city, where there are bus terminals towards northern provinces.

The Cheves hydropower plant began operating in August, 2015, and started to inject 171 MW into the Peruvian interconnected system. A new transmission network between the districts of Huaura and Oyón, has also been constructed as part of the project.

The Crookwell 2 project is one of Australia’s most significant renewable developments, the 91 MW Crookwell 2 Wind Farm near Goulburn, NSW. Once operational, the wind farm will produce an excess of 300,000 megawatt-hours during the average year, with zero carbon emissions, an energy supply equivalent to that needed to power 41,600 Canberra homes.

The new link will connect the southern and northern parts of the Stockholm county, relieve the arterial roads and the inner city of traffic and reduce the vulnerability of the Stockholm traffic system. To reduce the impact on sensitive natural and cultural environments, just over 18 km of the total 21 km of the link are in tunnels.

The West Link: One of Scandinavia’s most technically challenging projects is now underway in Gothenburg. The west link will be an 8KM double track railway, 6km beneath the city. The cost of the project is estimated at 14.5 billion SEK, making it one of the largest in the region. The underground geological conditions vary greatly between sections; 2km of tunnels will run through clay and the remaining 4km through rock. The rock excavation will take place via drill and blast and the clay will be excavated via cut and cover.
