You will provide technical direction to multidisciplinary teams, develop innovative solutions and build trusted relationships with clients, regulators, contractors and other stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design and delivery of water resources, flood risk management and drainage projects.
- Prepare and review technical reports, feasibility studies, business cases, specifications and design documentation.
- Manage hydraulic and hydrological assessments, modelling studies, flood risk appraisals and climate resilience investigations.

- Promote best practice in health and safety, sustainability, environmental management and risk control.
About you
You will hold a relevant degree in civil engineering, water engineering, hydrology or a related discipline, together with significant professional experience in water resources or flood risk management. Chartered status, or a clear commitment to achieving it, is highly desirable.
Strong experience with hydraulic and hydrological modelling software, industry standards and relevant UK legislation is expected. You will be confident communicating complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences, and capable of making sound decisions in challenging project environments.
In return, you can expect a varied portfolio of nationally significant work, opportunities for professional development and the chance to influence resilient, sustainable solutions for communities and the environment.
