You will supervise electrical contractors and site teams, manage daily activities and provide clear direction across multiple work fronts. Working closely with construction, engineering, commissioning and project management teams, you will resolve technical issues, monitor progress and ensure effective coordination between all disciplines.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise electrical installation, testing, inspection and commissioning activities.
- Review drawings, specifications, method statements and inspection and test plans.
- Coordinate subcontractors, labour, materials, tools and equipment to maintain progress.
- Monitor workmanship, productivity and compliance with approved project documentation.
- Identify construction issues, support technical resolution and escalate risks where required.
- Maintain accurate records, progress reports, permits and quality documentation.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with site procedures and statutory requirements.
- Participate in pre-start meetings, toolbox talks, inspections and project review meetings.
- Support energisation, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities through to handover.
About you
You will have substantial experience supervising electrical construction activities within an industrial, energy, infrastructure or major projects environment. A recognised electrical qualification, together with strong knowledge of electrical installation standards, testing requirements and safe systems of work, is essential.
The successful candidate will be confident leading teams in a demanding site environment and comfortable working to tight deadlines. You should be able to interpret technical drawings and schedules, communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders and make practical decisions when resolving site-based challenges.
Key requirements
Previous experience in a senior electrical supervision or superintendent role is required, along with a strong commitment to health, safety, quality and environmental performance. The role may involve working extended hours, rotating shifts or remote project locations, depending on operational requirements.
