We are seeking an experienced Architectural Millwork Estimator / Bid Coordinator to support the preparation and submission of accurate, competitive tenders for bespoke interior joinery and architectural millwork projects. Working closely with clients, designers, suppliers, subcontractors and internal production teams, you will interpret drawings and specifications, assess project requirements and help deliver bids that are commercially sound and technically compliant.

Your responsibilities will include reviewing tender documentation, architectural drawings, schedules and scopes of work; preparing detailed material, labour and subcontractor take-offs; obtaining and evaluating supplier quotations; and compiling clear, itemised cost estimates. You will coordinate bid timelines, track clarifications and addenda, identify exclusions and assumptions, and ensure submissions are complete and issued on time. The role will also involve liaising with project and workshop teams to confirm buildability, manufacturing requirements, installation considerations and realistic programme allowances. Maintaining accurate estimating records and supporting post-tender reviews will be an important part of the position.

The successful candidate will have proven experience estimating architectural millwork, bespoke joinery, interiors or a closely related construction discipline. Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, finishes, hardware and installation methods is required, together with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. You will be commercially aware, highly organised and confident managing multiple tenders to tight deadlines. Excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy and written and verbal communication skills are essential. Experience with estimating, take-off or construction management software, along with a sound understanding of procurement and subcontractor pricing, would be advantageous. This is an opportunity for a proactive professional who can work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative project environment.
