We are seeking a detail-oriented Jr. Estimator/Bid Coordinator to support the preparation, coordination, and submission of competitive bids and project estimates. This role is well suited to someone who enjoys working with numbers, organizing information, and collaborating with project managers, vendors, subcontractors, and clients. The successful candidate will help ensure that estimates are accurate, complete, and submitted on time while developing valuable experience in a fast-paced project environment. Compensation is approximately $50,000–$80,000 per year, depending on experience, qualifications, and technical skills.

Key responsibilities include reviewing drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and bid documents; measuring quantities and gathering pricing for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted services; preparing and maintaining estimate worksheets; and assisting with takeoffs and cost comparisons. You will coordinate bid invitations, track deadlines, distribute relevant documents, follow up with vendors and subcontractors, and organize quotes for review. Additional duties may include identifying scope gaps, clarifying discrepancies, updating pricing databases, preparing bid summaries, maintaining electronic records, and supporting post-bid analysis. You will also communicate with internal teams to confirm project requirements and help ensure that all proposals meet submission guidelines.

Applicants should have strong organizational and communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under deadline pressure. Previous experience in estimating, construction administration, procurement, project coordination, or a related field is preferred, though motivated candidates with transferable experience may be considered. Familiarity with construction plans, estimating software, spreadsheets, and document management systems is an asset. The ideal candidate is analytical, dependable, proactive, and comfortable asking questions when information is unclear. A technical diploma, relevant coursework, or equivalent practical experience is beneficial. Occasional travel, site visits, or extended hours may be required during peak bidding periods.
