This role will suit a confident professional who can manage competing priorities, build strong relationships and deliver high-quality outcomes within agreed timescales, budgets and governance requirements.

You will be responsible for overseeing projects from early development and business-case preparation through to procurement, construction, completion and handover. Working collaboratively with internal teams, consultants, contractors and stakeholders, you will ensure that projects are well planned, commercially sound and aligned with strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of projects using alternative delivery, partnering or collaborative procurement approaches.
  • Develop and maintain project programmes, budgets, risk registers and reporting frameworks.
  • Manage project governance, approvals, change control and assurance processes.
  • Coordinate design development, technical reviews, procurement activities and construction delivery.
  • Monitor performance against scope, cost, quality, safety and schedule requirements.
  • Identify and manage risks, issues, dependencies and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare clear reports, recommendations and updates for senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Promote effective collaboration, continuous improvement and best practice across project teams.

About you

You will have proven experience managing complex capital, infrastructure, property or construction projects, ideally within an alternative delivery or collaborative contracting environment. A strong understanding of procurement, contract management, project controls and commercial principles is essential.

You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and work effectively across multidisciplinary teams. Strong organisational skills, sound judgement and a proactive approach to problem-solving are also important. A relevant professional qualification in project management, construction, engineering, property or a related discipline is desirable.

This is an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to major projects while helping to shape efficient, innovative and sustainable approaches to project delivery.
