We are seeking an experienced General Superintendent to lead and coordinate federal construction projects across the United States. This is a 100% travel position requiring extended stays at project locations and the flexibility to work in varied environments. The successful candidate will provide overall field leadership, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contract requirements, applicable regulations, and quality standards.

Responsibilities include supervising all on-site construction activities, coordinating subcontractors, craft personnel, vendors, inspectors, and government representatives, and maintaining a clear and productive workflow. You will review plans, specifications, schedules, and submittals; monitor daily progress; identify potential delays or conflicts; and implement effective corrective actions. The role also requires conducting daily coordination meetings, maintaining accurate project documentation, reviewing site safety and quality practices, supporting schedule updates, and communicating project status to project management and client stakeholders. You will help verify that work complies with federal contracting requirements, approved drawings, safety procedures, and environmental controls.

Applicants should have significant experience managing complex commercial, industrial, civil, or government construction projects, preferably in a senior superintendent or comparable field leadership role. Experience with federal projects, government stakeholders, security requirements, and quality-control programs is strongly preferred. A thorough understanding of construction means and methods, sequencing, scheduling, cost awareness, and site logistics is essential. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are required, along with the ability to read and interpret construction documents and use standard project management and reporting systems. Candidates must be willing and able to travel continuously, work varied schedules when project demands require, and operate professionally in remote or challenging job-site conditions.
