We are seeking an experienced Lead Commercial Flooring Estimator to support the successful delivery of commercial flooring projects throughout the Miami, Florida area. This role will be responsible for preparing accurate, competitive estimates for a wide range of flooring scopes, including carpet, resilient flooring, luxury vinyl tile, ceramic and porcelain tile, hardwood, polished concrete, and specialty finishes. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of commercial construction practices, flooring materials, installation methods, and project costing.

Key responsibilities include reviewing architectural drawings, specifications, bid documents, and site conditions; performing quantity takeoffs; interpreting finish schedules; obtaining and evaluating supplier and subcontractor pricing; and developing detailed labor, material, equipment, and installation estimates. You will coordinate with project managers, vendors, installers, general contractors, and clients to clarify scope, identify risks, and ensure proposals are complete and commercially sound. The successful candidate will also prepare bid submissions, maintain estimating records, track changes and addenda, assist with value engineering, and support handover of awarded projects to the operations team.

Applicants should have several years of estimating experience within commercial flooring, interior construction, or a closely related trade. Proficiency with estimating software, spreadsheets, digital takeoff tools, and construction plans is highly desirable. Strong mathematical, analytical, organizational, and negotiation skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. The role requires excellent written and verbal communication, close attention to detail, and confidence working independently while contributing to a collaborative team. A valid driver’s licence and the ability to attend project sites, pre-bid meetings, and client consultations may be required.
