Experienced Associate – Investment Banking, Power, Utilities & Renewables
We are seeking an Experienced Associate to join a high-performing Investment Banking team focused on the Power, Utilities and Renewables sector. This role offers the opportunity to advise corporate clients, infrastructure investors, financial sponsors and other stakeholders on a broad range of strategic and financial transactions across the energy and infrastructure markets. You will work in a collaborative, intellectually demanding environment, supporting clients through complex and high-profile assignments.
Responsibilities will include developing and reviewing detailed financial models, conducting valuation analyses, preparing company and industry research, and producing clear, commercially focused presentations and transaction materials. You will contribute to the execution of mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financings, project finance mandates, capital raisings, strategic reviews and other advisory assignments. You will also be expected to monitor market trends, regulatory developments, energy transition themes and sector dynamics, translating these insights into meaningful advice.
Applicants should have substantial investment banking, corporate finance or transaction advisory experience, ideally with exposure to power, utilities, renewables, energy transition or related infrastructure sectors. Strong financial modelling, accounting and valuation skills are essential, together with excellent analytical, written and verbal communication abilities. You should be confident working on multiple priorities under tight deadlines, demonstrate sound commercial judgement, and have a high level of attention to detail. Experience supervising analysts or associates, managing project deliverables and contributing to business development would be advantageous. A relevant degree in finance, economics, accounting, engineering or a related discipline is preferred, and professional qualifications may be beneficial. The successful candidate will be proactive, highly organised, team-oriented and motivated to build trusted relationships while delivering consistently high-quality work.
