Clean Energy Infrastructure Investment Associate
We are seeking a Clean Energy Infrastructure Investment Associate to support the evaluation, execution and management of investments across renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure markets. The role will involve assessing opportunities in areas such as solar, wind, battery storage, grid infrastructure, energy efficiency, low-carbon fuels and related technologies. You will work closely with senior investment professionals and external advisers to develop rigorous assessments of potential investments and help deliver attractive risk-adjusted returns while contributing to the transition to a lower-carbon economy.
Key responsibilities will include building and reviewing financial models, preparing investment memoranda, conducting market and sector research, analysing project and company performance, and supporting due diligence across commercial, financial, technical, legal, regulatory and environmental matters. You will help assess investment structures, returns, sensitivities and risks; coordinate information requests and adviser workstreams; prepare materials for internal investment committees; and support negotiations and transaction execution. Following completion, you will contribute to portfolio monitoring, valuation updates, performance reporting, business plan reviews and value-creation initiatives. The role will also involve maintaining market intelligence, tracking policy and regulatory developments, and developing relationships with developers, lenders, advisers and other industry stakeholders.
Applicants should have relevant experience in infrastructure investment, project finance, private equity, investment banking, corporate finance, transaction advisory or a related field, ideally with exposure to renewable energy or other sustainable infrastructure. Strong financial modelling, valuation and analytical skills are essential, together with the ability to interpret complex information and communicate clear, well-supported recommendations. You should be commercially minded, highly organised and comfortable managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, sound judgement, attention to detail and a collaborative approach are required. A degree in finance, economics, engineering, business or a related discipline is preferred; professional qualifications or postgraduate study may be advantageous.
