We are seeking a Water/Wastewater Designer/EIT to support the planning, design, and delivery of municipal and industrial water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This role is suited to an emerging professional who is developing technical expertise and wants to contribute to projects that improve the reliability, efficiency, and sustainability of essential services. You will work closely with engineers, technologists, project managers, clients, and contractors in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Key responsibilities will include preparing preliminary and detailed designs for water distribution, wastewater collection, pumping stations, treatment facilities, and related infrastructure; developing plans, profiles, details, specifications, calculations, and cost estimates; conducting technical assessments and assisting with hydraulic modelling; and supporting the preparation of reports, tender documents, and permit applications. You will also assist with site investigations, construction administration, field reviews, inspections, and responses to technical inquiries. Maintaining accurate project records, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and contributing to quality assurance processes will be important aspects of the position.

The successful candidate will hold, or be working toward, a degree or diploma in civil, environmental, or water resources engineering, with eligibility for registration as an Engineer-in-Training or equivalent professional designation. Previous experience with water and wastewater projects, municipal infrastructure, or consulting engineering is an asset. Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, hydraulic modelling software, and Microsoft Office applications is preferred. You should have strong written and verbal communication skills, sound technical judgement, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. A willingness to learn, collaborate, attend project sites, and work within established health and safety requirements is essential. A valid driver’s licence may be required for site and client visits.
