Healthcare Superintendent (Travel Within Florida)

We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Superintendent to oversee construction and renovation projects at healthcare facilities across Florida. This role will be responsible for coordinating daily site operations, maintaining high standards of safety and quality, and ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget. Regular travel throughout Florida is required, with assignments varying by project location and duration.

Key responsibilities include supervising subcontractors, trade partners and site personnel; coordinating construction activities with project managers, consultants and facility representatives; reviewing plans, specifications and schedules; monitoring progress and resolving site issues; and ensuring work is performed in accordance with applicable building codes, healthcare regulations and infection-control requirements. The Superintendent will lead site meetings, maintain accurate daily reports, track materials and deliveries, support inspections, and help manage project closeout, commissioning and handover. Maintaining a clean, organised and professional work environment is essential, particularly within occupied or operational healthcare settings.

Applicants should have substantial experience supervising commercial construction, preferably healthcare, hospital, clinical or other technically complex projects. Knowledge of infection prevention procedures, safety regulations, quality control practices and construction scheduling is highly desirable. Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving and organisational skills are essential, along with the ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively with diverse project teams. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; relevant construction, engineering or project management qualifications are advantageous. Candidates must be comfortable working on active construction sites, using standard project documentation and scheduling tools, and travelling throughout Florida as required. A valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation are expected.
