EWI is supporting a renewable energy developer in Eastern Europe that is currently evaluating the acquisition of pre-owned wind turbines for a new wind energy project.
We are seeking an experienced Wind Turbine Asset Acquisition Consultant to provide independent technical expertise during the turbine selection and purchasing process. This role would suit a senior wind professional with strong experience assessing the condition, risks, and long-term operability of existing wind turbine assets.
Responsibilities
Support the technical evaluation and selection of used wind turbines.Assess turbine condition, maintenance history and operational performance.Review technical documentation, service records, inspections and failure history.Evaluate major components and identify technical risks or defects.Assess refurbishment requirements, spare parts availability and future maintenance needs.Provide recommendations regarding turbine suitability and value.Support discussions with turbine owners, suppliers, manufacturers and service providers.Advise on technical requirements for installation, commissioning and future operation.Requirements
Extensive wind turbine technical experience.Proven experience evaluating, purchasing, refurbishing or managing used wind turbine assets.Strong knowledge of turbine mechanical, electrical and control systems.Ability to assess technical risks associated with pre-owned equipment.Experience reviewing maintenance records, inspections and service documentation.Independent consultant or consultancy background welcomed.Additional Information

Russian language skills are highly preferred.
Romanian language skills would also be considered.
