Key responsibilities include preparing and reviewing hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, stormwater management reports, drainage studies, floodplain evaluations, erosion and sediment control plans, and regulatory permit applications. You will oversee the design of detention and retention facilities, conveyance systems, storm sewer networks, culverts, open channels, green infrastructure, and other water quality measures. The position will involve coordinating multidisciplinary project teams, mentoring junior staff, managing budgets and schedules, reviewing technical deliverables, attending client and agency meetings, and providing construction-phase support, including responses to requests for information and field observations. You will also help identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen client relationships, and contribute to proposals and business development activities.

A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, water resources engineering, or a related discipline is required, along with significant professional experience in land development and stormwater engineering. Professional Engineer registration, or the ability to obtain it within an agreed timeframe, is strongly preferred. Candidates should have advanced knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic modelling, stormwater regulations, drainage design standards, floodplain requirements, and applicable local, state, and federal permitting processes. Experience with Civil 3D, HydroCAD, HEC-RAS, ICPR, SWMM, or comparable software is desirable. Strong written and verbal communication, sound technical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential. This is an opportunity to take a visible technical leadership role on challenging projects while supporting the development of a collaborative and high-performing engineering team.
