We are seeking an experienced Foreman III – Waste Water to lead and coordinate daily activities across wastewater treatment, collection, and related utility operations. The successful candidate will supervise field crews, assign work, monitor productivity, and ensure tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved procedures. Responsibilities may include overseeing inspections, maintenance, repairs, cleaning, pumping, and the operation of wastewater infrastructure and associated equipment.

The Foreman will provide technical direction to employees and contractors, interpret work orders, review site conditions, and resolve operational issues as they arise. Duties include coordinating schedules and resources, verifying materials and equipment availability, maintaining accurate work records, and reporting progress, incidents, defects, and maintenance requirements. The role will also involve conducting toolbox talks, enforcing safe work practices, and ensuring compliance with environmental, occupational health, and regulatory standards. You may be required to work in confined spaces, around hazardous substances, and in varying weather conditions while following all applicable protective measures.

Applicants should have substantial experience in wastewater, water utilities, civil maintenance, or a closely related operational environment, together with demonstrated supervisory or foreman-level experience. A strong understanding of wastewater systems, mechanical equipment, pipelines, pumps, treatment processes, and preventative maintenance practices is desirable. The ability to read technical drawings, use work management systems, complete documentation, and communicate clearly with team members and stakeholders is essential. Candidates should be organised, dependable, and capable of making sound decisions in time-sensitive situations. Relevant trade qualifications, operator certifications, confined-space training, health and safety credentials, and a valid driving licence will be advantageous. The position may require shift work, standby duties, emergency call-outs, and occasional weekend or public holiday work.
