Piping Superintendent II
We are seeking an experienced Piping Superintendent II to oversee field execution of piping installation, fabrication, testing, and turnover activities on complex industrial construction projects. This role is responsible for coordinating daily work across multiple crews, ensuring activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, project schedules, and quality requirements. The successful candidate will serve as a key connection between field personnel, engineering, project management, contractors, and other construction disciplines.
Responsibilities include planning manpower, materials, equipment, and work sequencing; directing foremen and subcontractors; reviewing isometric drawings, plot plans, specifications, and work packages; monitoring productivity and schedule performance; and resolving field issues promptly. You will coordinate piping construction with structural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, insulation, and commissioning teams to prevent conflicts and maintain progress. The role also requires regular inspection of installation quality, verification of weld maps and test packages, support for pressure testing and system walkdowns, and preparation of accurate progress reports and turnover documentation. You will participate in planning meetings, identify potential delays or cost impacts, and recommend practical corrective actions.
Applicants should have significant experience supervising piping construction in industrial, energy, chemical, manufacturing, or similarly complex environments, along with a strong understanding of construction methods, piping materials, welding processes, hydrotesting, reinstatement, and commissioning support. The position requires the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications, use project scheduling and reporting systems, and lead diverse teams in a demanding field environment. Strong communication, organisation, decision-making, and problem-solving skills are essential. A relevant technical qualification, trade background, or equivalent practical experience is preferred, together with demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, environmental compliance, and continuous improvement. The ability to work extended hours, rotating shifts, and varying site conditions may be required.
