Piping Foreman
We are seeking an experienced Piping Foreman to lead piping installation activities on industrial, commercial, or infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will supervise site teams and subcontractors, coordinate daily work programmes, and ensure all activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules. This role requires strong practical knowledge of piping systems, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced site environment.
Key responsibilities will include planning and allocating labour, tools, materials, and equipment; interpreting isometric drawings, P&IDs, and construction documents; overseeing pipe fabrication, installation, supports, valves, fittings, and associated mechanical works; and monitoring progress against project milestones. You will coordinate with engineering, construction, quality, and commissioning teams to resolve technical or access issues promptly. The role will also involve inspecting workmanship, ensuring correct alignment and fit-up, maintaining accurate daily records, supporting testing and commissioning activities, and identifying potential delays or cost impacts. You will be expected to promote a strong safety culture by conducting toolbox talks, completing risk assessments, enforcing site procedures, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and permit requirements.
Applicants should have proven experience in a piping supervisory or foreman position, preferably within industrial, commercial, energy, manufacturing, or process plant environments. A recognised trade qualification in pipefitting, mechanical engineering, or a related discipline is desirable, together with a sound understanding of piping materials, welding and inspection processes, pressure testing, and quality control requirements. The ability to read technical drawings, use standard site reporting systems, and communicate clearly with workers, supervisors, and project stakeholders is essential. Candidates should be organised, safety-conscious, and capable of motivating a diverse team while maintaining high standards of workmanship. Relevant site safety certifications and experience working under permit-to-work systems will be advantageous.
