We are seeking an experienced Solar Civil/Underground Superintendent to oversee civil construction and underground utility activities on a large-scale renewable energy project in the Paloma, Texas area. The successful candidate will provide field leadership across site preparation, grading, access roads, drainage, trenching, duct banks, conduit installation, collection systems, grounding, and related underground infrastructure. This role is responsible for coordinating crews, subcontractors, equipment, materials, and daily work activities to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality project delivery.

Key responsibilities include interpreting drawings, specifications, schedules, and civil installation plans; establishing daily work priorities; monitoring production and workmanship; and verifying that construction activities comply with approved methods and project requirements. You will coordinate with project management, engineering, survey, quality control, environmental, and safety teams to resolve field issues and maintain progress. The Superintendent will conduct pre-task planning, toolbox talks, and site inspections; enforce safe work practices; track quantities and productivity; document daily activities; support change management; and identify potential schedule, cost, or constructability risks. Effective communication with subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and client representatives is essential.

Applicants should have significant experience supervising civil and underground construction, preferably on utility-scale solar, renewable energy, electrical infrastructure, or other large industrial projects. Strong knowledge of excavation, trench safety, backfilling, compaction, surveying, stormwater controls, utility installation, and construction sequencing is required. Experience leading multiple crews in an active construction environment, reading civil and electrical drawings, and using project documentation or reporting systems is highly valued. The ideal candidate is a practical, organised, and safety-focused leader who can work independently, make timely decisions, and maintain standards under demanding conditions. OSHA-related training or equivalent safety credentials, first aid/CPR certification, and a valid driver’s licence are advantageous. This position requires extensive outdoor work, variable weather conditions, frequent walking across uneven terrain, and flexibility to work extended hours or weekends when project needs require.
