Associate, Clean Energy (Renewables / Clean Tech Investments)
We are seeking an Associate, Clean Energy (Renewables / Clean Tech Investments) to support the evaluation and execution of investments across the energy transition. This role will suit an analytical and commercially minded professional who is passionate about renewable energy, sustainable infrastructure and emerging clean technologies. You will work closely with senior investment professionals and external advisers to assess opportunities across areas such as solar, wind, energy storage, grid infrastructure, distributed energy, electrification and climate technology.
Responsibilities will include conducting market, industry and company research; developing and reviewing financial models; analysing project economics, operating performance and investment returns; and preparing investment papers, presentations and recommendations for internal approval processes. You will support due diligence across commercial, financial, technical, legal and ESG workstreams, coordinate advisers and management meetings, and contribute to transaction execution. Following investment, you may assist with portfolio monitoring, performance analysis, valuation updates, quarterly reporting and strategic initiatives. The role will also involve tracking policy, regulatory, technology and market developments that could affect investment opportunities and portfolio assets.
Applicants should have approximately two to five years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, infrastructure investing, project finance, transaction advisory, corporate finance, management consulting or a related field. Experience in renewable energy, energy infrastructure, climate technology or another sector undergoing decarbonisation is highly desirable. You should possess strong financial modelling, valuation and analytical skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex information. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is the confidence to engage with senior stakeholders, advisers, management teams and industry participants. A proactive, collaborative approach, sound commercial judgement and genuine interest in accelerating the transition to a lower-carbon economy are also important. Relevant academic qualifications in finance, economics, engineering, business, mathematics or a related discipline are preferred.
