We are seeking a Junior Estimator to support the preparation of accurate and competitive tenders for construction and civil engineering projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the beginning of their career who wants to develop strong commercial and technical expertise in a practical project environment. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors to understand project requirements and contribute to well-founded pricing decisions.

Your responsibilities will include reviewing tender documents, drawings, specifications, and quantities; preparing cost estimates and pricing calculations; obtaining and comparing quotations from suppliers and subcontractors; and maintaining clear documentation throughout the tender process. You will assist with identifying risks, exclusions, assumptions, and potential cost-saving opportunities, while ensuring that all calculations are complete, structured, and delivered within agreed deadlines. The role may also involve participating in site visits, clarifying technical questions, updating estimate databases, and supporting handover from the tender stage to project execution.

We are looking for a structured and analytical person with an interest in construction, infrastructure, or related technical disciplines. Relevant education in construction, civil engineering, quantity surveying, economics, or a similar field is beneficial, while relevant practical experience may compensate for formal qualifications. You should be comfortable working with numbers, interpreting technical information, and using spreadsheets and digital calculation tools. Good communication skills in English are required; knowledge of Norwegian or another Scandinavian language is an advantage.
