We are supporting a long‑term Railway Safety Monitoring / Independent Assurance function in Qatar and are recruiting senior Railway Operations and Maintenance Experts.

These are office‑based client roles with site exposure, supporting safety oversight across Metro and LRT projects.

🔹 Railway Operations Expert

Location & duration

• Doha, Qatar
• Full‑time at client offices
• 3‑year assignment

Role purpose
To provide senior railway operations expertise in support of operational safety monitoring, audits, inspections, Management of Change, and SMS implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Support the client Railway Safety Monitoring function
• Participate in operational audits, inspections, and site visits
• Review operational procedures, OCC / control room processes, emergency plans, degraded mode operations, and readiness evidence
• Provide operational input into Management of Change
• Support incident investigations, failure review boards, and governance forums
• Prepare technical notes, findings, and monthly reporting inputs
• Coordinate specialist SME input (signalling, OCC, telecoms, safety, etc.)

Experience required

• 15+ years railway operations experience
• Metro, tram, LRT, or urban rail operations background
• Strong exposure to operational safety, OCC, emergency & incident management
• Experience supporting audits, SMS, or independent assurance activities

Preferred

• Middle East / GCC experience
• GoA4 / driverless metro systems
• EN 50126 / CENELEC safety assurance exposure

🔹 Railway Maintenance Expert

Location & duration

• Doha, Qatar
• Full‑time at client offices
• 3‑year assignment

Role purpose
To provide senior maintenance and asset management expertise in support of maintenance safety audits, asset performance monitoring, and independent technical assurance.

Key responsibilities

• Support maintenance safety monitoring for metro and LRT systems
• Participate in maintenance audits, depot inspections, and site visits
• Review maintenance strategies, MTIs, defect management, RAM performance, and competence systems
• Assess interface risks between operations, maintenance, and engineering
• Provide maintenance input into Management of Change
• Review incidents, non‑conformities, and corrective actions
• Prepare technical findings, reports, and recommendations

Experience required

• 15+ years railway maintenance experience
• Metro, tram, LRT, or urban rail systems background
• Experience with safety‑critical systems (rolling stock, signalling/CBTC, power, telecoms, track, stations, depots)
• Experience in maintenance audits, RAMS, SMS, or technical assurance

Preferred

• Middle East / GCC experience
• ISO 55001 asset management exposure
• EN 50126 lifecycle safety
• Experience in outsourced O&M environments
