Responsibilities will include preparing and reviewing engineering calculations, design criteria, process evaluations, technical specifications, equipment schedules, and construction documents for wastewater treatment facilities and related infrastructure. You will assist with process modelling, hydraulic analysis, treatment technology selection, pilot testing, and the assessment of existing plant performance. The role will also involve supporting the design of pipelines, pumping stations, tanks, treatment processes, sludge handling systems, odour control measures, and site improvements. You may participate in field investigations, condition assessments, permitting activities, construction support, commissioning, and operational troubleshooting.

The successful candidate will typically hold a bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, chemical, or water resources engineering, or a related discipline, along with relevant experience in wastewater treatment design or engineering consulting. Professional registration, or progress toward registration, is desirable. Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, applicable environmental regulations, design standards, and engineering software is expected. Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, process modelling tools, hydraulic modelling software, or similar applications would be advantageous. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is the ability to manage priorities, review technical work, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and contribute to projects within agreed budgets and schedules.
