We are supporting a long‑term Railway Safety Monitoring / Independent Assurance function in Qatar and are recruiting senior Railway Operations and Maintenance Experts.
These are office‑based client roles with site exposure, supporting safety oversight across Metro and LRT projects.
🔹 Railway Operations ExpertLocation & duration
Doha, QatarFull‑time at client offices3‑year assignmentRole purpose
To provide senior railway operations expertise in support of operational safety monitoring, audits, inspections, Management of Change, and SMS implementation.
Key responsibilities
Support the client Railway Safety Monitoring functionParticipate in operational audits, inspections, and site visitsReview operational procedures, OCC / control room processes, emergency plans, degraded mode operations, and readiness evidenceProvide operational input into Management of ChangeSupport incident investigations, failure review boards, and governance forumsPrepare technical notes, findings, and monthly reporting inputsCoordinate specialist SME input (signalling, OCC, telecoms, safety, etc.)Experience required
15+ years railway operations experienceMetro, tram, LRT, or urban rail operations backgroundStrong exposure to operational safety, OCC, emergency & incident managementExperience supporting audits, SMS, or independent assurance activitiesPreferred
Middle East / GCC experienceGoA4 / driverless metro systemsEN 50126 / CENELEC safety assurance exposure🔹 Railway Maintenance ExpertLocation & duration
Doha, QatarFull‑time at client offices3‑year assignmentRole purpose
To provide senior maintenance and asset management expertise in support of maintenance safety audits, asset performance monitoring, and independent technical assurance.
Key responsibilities
Support maintenance safety monitoring for metro and LRT systemsParticipate in maintenance audits, depot inspections, and site visitsReview maintenance strategies, MTIs, defect management, RAM performance, and competence systemsAssess interface risks between operations, maintenance, and engineeringProvide maintenance input into Management of ChangeReview incidents, non‑conformities, and corrective actionsPrepare technical findings, reports, and recommendationsExperience required
15+ years railway maintenance experienceMetro, tram, LRT, or urban rail systems backgroundExperience with safety‑critical systems (rolling stock, signalling/CBTC, power, telecoms, track, stations, depots)Experience in maintenance audits, RAMS, SMS, or technical assurancePreferred
Middle East / GCC experienceISO 55001 asset management exposureEN 50126 lifecycle safetyExperience in outsourced O&M environments
