About the Role:

EWI the world's leading International Infrastructure recruiter are support a search for a Resident Engineer / Project Manager to join a team for the delivery of a landmark airport development project in Oman. This role begins during the design phase (approx. 6 months) and transitions into full-time site-based construction supervision as the Resident Engineer. The project is set to become one of the region's most iconic aviation hubs, combining cutting-edge design with world-class infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead coordination and technical oversight during the design phase, working closely with design consultants, stakeholders, and client teams
  • Prepare for mobilisation to site and establish supervision protocols ahead of construction
  • Act as the Resident Engineer during the construction phase, managing site activities, contractor performance, and quality assurance
  • Ensure compliance with international standards, safety regulations, and project specifications
  • Maintain strong communication with the client and project stakeholders throughout all phases
  • Provide strategic input to resolve technical challenges and drive project delivery

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline (Master's preferred)
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in infrastructure or airport development projects
  • Strong background in both design coordination and site supervision
  • Proven leadership and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Middle East experience is highly desirable
  • Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PE, CEng) are an advantage
