A leading international consultancy consortium supporting a major railway infrastructure project is seeking an experienced Project Manager - Electro-Mechanical Systems & Rolling Stock to provide leadership across the design, procurement, integration, and construction supervision phases of a high-profile rail project.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure all modernisation and asset-life extension works meet stringent engineering and regulatory standards.
3. OEM & Vendor SurveillanceServe as the primary quality interface with Tier-1 Hydropower OEMs and local tier-2 subcontractors.
Review vendor manufacturing databooks, factory acceptance testing (FAT) results, and site acceptance testing (SAT) procedures.
Ensure OEM components delivered to the site adhere strictly to technical specifications, minimizing installation and commissioning delays.
Required Profile & QualificationsExperience & Technical BackgroundHydropower Expertise: Proven track record working on large-scale hydropower projects, with a strong preference for Rehabilitation, Modernisation, or Repowering initiatives.
Mechanical Specialism: Robust, demonstrable knowledge of heavy mechanical engineering, specifically hydro turbines, governors, valves, main shafts, and generator components.
OEM Exposure: Direct experience working either for or closely managing major global hydropower OEMs (e.g., Andritz, Voith, GE/Alstom).
Location Context: Based in or willing to relocate immediately to Scotland for the duration of the contract.
Skills & CertificationsDemonstrated Quality Management leadership skills with the ability to manage site inspectors and influence contractor behavior.
Experience developing and verifying detailed Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
Relevant qualifications in Quality Management (e.g., CQI/IRCA) or an Engineering discipline (BEng / HNC / HND in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience).
Strong familiarity with NDT methods, welding procedures (WPS/PQR), and heavy lifting quality protocols.

You will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless integration of signalling systems across a complex, multidisciplinary railway environment, supporting safe and efficient operations to international standards.
Key Responsibilities
