Project Manager – Construction (Hospitality Renovations)
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of hospitality renovation projects from initial planning through to completion. This role will suit a commercially aware construction professional who can coordinate multiple stakeholders, manage complex refurbishment programmes and maintain the highest standards of quality, safety and guest experience.
You will oversee projects across occupied and operational hospitality environments, ensuring works are delivered on time, within budget and with minimal disruption. Working closely with design teams, contractors, suppliers and site personnel, you will provide clear direction throughout every phase of the project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end renovation and refurbishment projects, including scope, programme, budget and procurement.
- Coordinate consultants, contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery.
- Prepare and maintain detailed project plans, cost reports, risk registers and progress updates.
- Monitor site activity, workmanship, health and safety compliance and adherence to relevant regulations.
- Manage contractor performance, variations, valuations, change control and commercial negotiations.
- Identify potential risks and delays, implementing practical mitigation plans and escalating issues where necessary.
- Coordinate works in live hospitality settings, balancing construction requirements with operational priorities.
- Lead project meetings and provide clear, concise reporting to senior stakeholders.
- Support handover, snagging, commissioning and the resolution of defects.
About you
You will have proven experience managing construction, fit-out or refurbishment projects, ideally within hotels, resorts, restaurants or other guest-focused environments. A relevant qualification in construction, project management, engineering or a related discipline is desirable, alongside strong knowledge of construction methods, contracts, cost management and health and safety requirements.
Excellent communication, negotiation and organisational skills are essential. You will be confident working independently, comfortable managing competing priorities and capable of building effective relationships at all levels. The ability to travel between project locations and work flexibly around operational requirements may be required.
