Quality Manager
We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead and develop quality standards across a busy operational environment. This role will suit a confident professional who can combine strong technical knowledge with practical leadership, ensuring that products, services and processes consistently meet customer, regulatory and internal requirements.
You will take ownership of the quality management system, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. Working closely with operational, engineering, procurement and customer-facing teams, you will identify risks, resolve issues and support the delivery of measurable improvements in performance.
Key responsibilities
- Manage, maintain and continuously improve the quality management system and associated procedures.
- Plan and lead internal audits, supporting external audits and ensuring that findings are addressed promptly.
- Monitor quality performance through relevant measures, reports and trend analysis.
- Investigate non-conformances, customer complaints and recurring issues, using structured root-cause analysis.
- Develop and oversee corrective and preventive action plans, ensuring effective and timely completion.
- Work with suppliers and internal teams to improve quality standards, consistency and compliance.
- Provide training, guidance and coaching to colleagues on quality processes and best practice.
- Maintain accurate records and produce clear reports for senior stakeholders.
About you
You will have proven experience in a quality management or quality assurance role, ideally within a regulated, manufacturing, engineering or service-based environment. A thorough understanding of audit methods, root-cause analysis, risk management and continuous improvement techniques is essential.
Applicants should be confident interpreting procedures and standards, analysing data and communicating findings to people at all levels. Experience with recognised quality standards, such as ISO 9001, would be advantageous, as would a relevant professional qualification or formal training in quality management.
In return, this position offers the opportunity to make a visible impact, shape quality practices and work with a collaborative team committed to high standards. You will need excellent organisational skills, sound judgement and the determination to see improvements through from identification to successful completion.
