Project Manager – Land Development
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver a range of land development projects from initial feasibility through to completion. This role will suit a commercially minded professional with strong technical knowledge, excellent stakeholder management skills and a proven record of delivering projects within the property, construction or infrastructure sectors.
You will take responsibility for coordinating multidisciplinary teams, managing project programmes and ensuring that developments meet approved standards, budgets and timescales. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you will help shape viable development proposals and oversee delivery from planning and design through to construction and handover.
Key responsibilities
- Manage land development projects across the full project lifecycle, from feasibility and acquisition support to completion.
- Prepare and monitor project programmes, budgets, risk registers and delivery plans.
- Coordinate consultants, contractors, statutory authorities and other professional advisers.
- Lead the planning, design development, procurement and construction management processes.
- Review technical information, reports, drawings and specifications to identify opportunities, risks and constraints.
- Monitor progress on site and ensure compliance with agreed quality, health and safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
- Provide clear project updates, recommendations and performance reports to senior stakeholders.
- Support commercial negotiations, tender assessments, cost control and contract administration.
About you
You will have demonstrable experience managing land, residential, commercial or infrastructure development projects, ideally with a relevant qualification in project management, construction, civil engineering, surveying or a related discipline. A sound understanding of planning processes, development appraisals, construction methods and statutory approvals is essential.
Strong communication and negotiation skills are required, along with the ability to manage competing priorities, resolve issues decisively and build effective relationships. You should be organised, commercially aware and confident working independently while contributing positively within a collaborative team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking environment offering varied projects, professional development and the chance to make a visible contribution to successful land development.
