You will contribute to project planning, monitor progress against agreed programmes and help manage costs, risks and technical changes. The successful candidate will be comfortable working across multiple projects, resolving engineering issues and providing practical solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate engineering projects from design and development through to installation, commissioning and handover.
- Prepare and review technical specifications, drawings, calculations, reports and project documentation.
- Work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs are practical, compliant and delivered on schedule.
- Liaise with suppliers and contractors, reviewing quotations, technical submissions and manufacturing progress.
- Monitor project milestones, budgets, risks, quality requirements and resource needs.
- Support testing, commissioning and site activities, including the resolution of technical problems.
- Ensure work is completed in line with relevant legislation, industry standards, health and safety requirements and company procedures.
- Contribute to project meetings, progress reports, lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives.
About you
You will hold a degree, HND or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline and have experience in a project engineering, design engineering or technical delivery role. A strong understanding of engineering principles, project controls and technical documentation is essential. Experience using relevant design, planning or project management software would be advantageous.
You should be highly organised, commercially aware and confident communicating with people at all levels. The ability to manage competing priorities, make sound decisions and work collaboratively is important. A proactive approach, attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results are essential.
This role may involve occasional travel to project sites, supplier premises or client locations. In return, you will have the opportunity to work on varied projects, develop your technical and project management skills, and contribute to meaningful engineering solutions.
