We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager – Wastewater to lead the successful delivery of complex wastewater infrastructure projects from inception through to completion. This role will oversee project planning, design coordination, procurement, construction, commissioning and close-out, ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. You will manage multiple workstreams and project teams, coordinating internal specialists, consultants, contractors, suppliers and key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities will include developing detailed project programmes, budgets, risk registers and delivery strategies; monitoring progress and implementing corrective action where required; managing change control, commercial performance and contractual obligations; and ensuring compliance with relevant environmental, health and safety, technical and regulatory requirements. You will lead project meetings, provide clear reporting to senior stakeholders, support technical and design reviews, and build effective relationships with clients, regulators, delivery partners and local communities. The role will also involve mentoring project team members and contributing to continuous improvement across project delivery processes.

Applicants should have substantial experience managing wastewater, water or other major infrastructure projects, with a strong understanding of treatment processes, pipelines, pumping stations, utilities or related civil engineering works. A relevant degree or professional qualification in engineering, construction, project management or a related discipline is desirable, together with proven experience managing budgets, programmes, risk and contractor performance. Strong commercial awareness, communication, negotiation and leadership skills are essential. You should be confident working in a complex, multidisciplinary environment, making sound decisions under pressure and maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, environmental sustainability and customer outcomes.
