- Develop and maintain project execution plans, programmes, budgets, risk registers and reporting structures.
- Manage consultant and contractor performance, procurement activities, commercial arrangements and change control.
- Coordinate design development, constructability reviews, approvals, land access, environmental requirements and stakeholder engagement.
- Monitor progress against cost, time, quality, health and safety, environmental and sustainability objectives.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving issues promptly and escalating where appropriate.
- Chair progress meetings and provide clear updates to senior stakeholders and project boards.
- Support continuous improvement, lessons learned and the development of less experienced project team members.
About you
You will be an accomplished project manager with substantial experience delivering water, wastewater or related civil engineering infrastructure projects, particularly linear assets. A recognised project management, engineering or construction qualification is desirable, alongside demonstrable knowledge of design, construction, commercial management and health and safety requirements.
You should possess excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decisions and build effective relationships at all levels. Strong commercial awareness, sound judgement and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential. Experience working within regulated utilities, alliance or major capital delivery environments would be advantageous.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to strategically important infrastructure projects while working within a collaborative, professional and technically diverse team.
