Assistant Corrosion Project Manager
We are seeking an Assistant Corrosion Project Manager to support the planning, coordination and delivery of corrosion management, inspection and prevention projects across industrial assets and infrastructure. Working closely with project managers, engineers, inspectors, clients and contractors, you will help ensure that projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule and in line with contractual and technical requirements. The role may involve supporting projects from initial scope development and estimating through to execution, reporting, close-out and lessons learned.
Key responsibilities will include assisting with project plans, schedules, budgets, risk assessments and resource requirements; coordinating site activities, inspection teams, subcontractors and equipment; preparing work packs, method statements, technical documentation and progress reports; and monitoring project performance against agreed milestones and costs. You will help review corrosion inspection data, coating and materials recommendations, repair proposals and integrity management findings, escalating technical, commercial or operational issues where necessary. Maintaining clear communication with stakeholders, tracking actions, supporting change control and ensuring accurate project records will also be central to the position.
Applicants should have experience in corrosion engineering, asset integrity, inspection, coatings, materials engineering or a related discipline, together with some exposure to project coordination or project management in an industrial, energy, marine, infrastructure or similarly regulated environment. A relevant technical qualification or degree is desirable, as are recognised certifications in corrosion, coatings, inspection or project management. You will need strong organisational, analytical and communication skills, the ability to manage competing priorities, and a practical understanding of health, safety, environmental and quality requirements. Familiarity with industry standards, inspection techniques, risk-based approaches and project management software would be advantageous. The successful candidate must be willing to travel to operational or client sites when required and demonstrate a proactive, collaborative approach to problem-solving.
