We are seeking a capable Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of engineering projects from initial concept through to completion. Working closely with project managers, designers, contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders, you will help coordinate technical activities, monitor progress and ensure that project objectives are achieved safely, efficiently and to the required standards. This is an opportunity to contribute to varied projects while developing strong commercial, technical and operational experience.

Your responsibilities will include preparing and reviewing technical documentation, specifications, drawings, schedules, risk assessments and project reports. You will assist with project planning, cost and resource monitoring, procurement activities, design coordination and the management of technical queries. You will also support site or installation activities where required, inspect work, track quality and performance, and help identify and resolve engineering issues. Maintaining accurate records, communicating progress and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, industry standards, health and safety requirements and quality procedures will be an important part of the role.

Applicants should have a degree, higher education qualification or equivalent practical experience in an engineering discipline, together with experience supporting the delivery of engineering, construction, manufacturing or infrastructure projects. You should be comfortable interpreting technical information and using engineering or project management software, with strong skills in planning, organisation, communication and problem-solving. The ability to manage competing priorities, build effective working relationships and work collaboratively across technical and non-technical teams is essential. A proactive approach, attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement are highly valued. Professional registration or progress towards chartered status would be advantageous, as would experience with risk management, contract administration, quality assurance or regulated project environments.
