As a Graduate Engineer, Rail & Transit, you will join a multidisciplinary team delivering safe, efficient and sustainable transport solutions. This is an opportunity to develop your technical capability while contributing to projects across rail infrastructure, stations, systems, operations and urban transit. Working under the guidance of experienced engineers and project leaders, you will support the delivery of high-quality design, analysis and advisory services from early concept through to construction and commissioning.

Your responsibilities will include assisting with engineering studies, preparing calculations, drawings, specifications, reports and technical schedules, and contributing to design reviews and assurance activities. You may support site inspections, surveys, stakeholder meetings, risk assessments and the coordination of information between disciplines. You will be expected to apply relevant standards, legislation and industry best practice, maintain accurate project records, and help identify practical, safe and cost-effective solutions. The role will also involve working with clients, contractors, suppliers and colleagues across different technical areas, providing opportunities to build your understanding of project delivery and the wider rail and transit environment.

Applicants should have, or be working towards, a degree in civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, systems, transport or another relevant engineering discipline. A genuine interest in rail, public transport and sustainable infrastructure is essential, along with strong analytical, communication and organisational skills. You should be comfortable learning new software and technical processes, working collaboratively and managing competing priorities with appropriate support. A proactive approach, attention to detail and commitment to health, safety, quality and professional development are highly valued. Graduate membership of a relevant professional institution, or an intention to work towards professional registration, would be advantageous. The position may involve occasional travel to project sites and client locations.
